Plastic inspired by leather inspired by loafers inspired by Sperry inspired by … etc.
I’m not positive of the company that makes these and I don’t have a link to their site – but if I did, I still would probably refrain from posting it – I wouldn’t want you to mistake these for being something worth purchasing. It simply serves as a prime example of the 18-30 crowd’s relentless pursuit of a fleeting authentic experience of anything.

The new book What’s Mine is Yours: The Rise of Collaborative Consumption is out September 28, marking the end of 20th century Hyper Consumption for a new 21st century Collaborative Consumption. The Movement involves the emerging economies of “traditional sharing, bartering, lending, trading, renting, gifting, and swapping redefined through technology and peer communities.” Most of us already know about things like Zipcar and Craigslist, but how about Couch Surfing which connects travelers with places to stay, or Shared Earth which brings together land owners with farmers and gardeners? Sharing is in, do it.

Sunday:
• Water the lawn!
• Buy Budwiser™ and CocaCola™
• Red Plastic cups and paper plates, Lots of ‘em, No dishes to wash!
• Call all your friends over!
• Laugh with them about how much you hate your job.
• Talk about the economy.
• Eat a lot of red meat.
• Drink too much, you don’t have to work tomorrow!
Monday:
• Sleep in.
• Water the lawn!
• Go Shopping. There’s great Sales!
• Watch TV
Nothin’ like superior Quality of Life!
