SpaceWeather.com is reporting an “M9-class solar flare.”

“This morning, Jan. 23rd around 0359 UT, big sunspot 1402 erupted, producing a long-duration M9-class solar flare. The explosion’s M9-ranking puts it on the threshold of being an X-flare, the most powerful kind.”

Apparently the radiation will last through Wednesday and could effect some onboard computers of earth-orbiting satellites. Read more here.

Over a year ago we sat down with Real J. Wallace and BAM CIRCA 86, at Pokéz to discuss Brother Nature‘s Fresh Squeezed Lemonade mix tape. Since then they’ve continued to put in work and put out some seriously authentic tracks. I’m not a music critic, let alone a hip-hop critic but I know good when hear it and Real is still at it. In correspondence with his latest digital release, “The J∆hFather of So​(​u​)​l Cal,” Real J. Wallace explains, in the short film below, the music’s correlation with the Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway (or ‘the 94′ as most San Diegan’s know it by).

Real’s laid back lyrical grooves combined with early 70′s breakbeats create a really unique, positive vibe that defines the ‘Soul Cal’ sound.
